About the package
The house sits on a rise above the water, and the brief was simple: from the main living space you should see the lake and nothing else. The lake elevation is glazed close to wall to wall, with a band of transoms above the main run so the glass follows the ceiling line rather than stopping short of it.
Large fixed units do most of the work here. With no opening hardware in the frame, the sightline stays as narrow as the span allows, which is what keeps a window wall this size from reading as a grid of frames.
The photos catch the house mid-build - some elevations already sided and trimmed, others still open timber frame. It is a useful comparison: the same units, before and after the wall goes on around them.
