How the three tiers work
Each tier picks the best-fit system per category. Value uses premium PVC for lowest absolute cost. Standard uses thermally-broken aluminum (Aliplast Genesis 75 type) for the typical passive-house adjacent build. Premium uses steel-look aluminum (Reynaers SL38, Aliplast Maxlight Steel) for projects where sightlines matter as much as thermal performance. Same calibration data across all three.
What's included in the landed cost
  • Product — per sqft per system, blended fixed + tilt-and-turn.
  • Ocean freight — flat container cost to US East Coast.
  • Import duty — per current US HTS schedule.
  • Optional uplifts — triple glazing, NFRC certification, US-spec nailing flange, fly screens, high-altitude reinforcement.

Not included: installation labor and on-site delivery beyond the port.

How accurate is the price estimate?
The estimator is calibrated against real manufacturer quotes and recent project data (April-May 2026). Accuracy band is +/-10% for budgeting purposes. A binding quote requires shop drawings and exact glazing specs, and is typically delivered within one working day of reviewing your window schedule.
What is included in the landed cost?
Each tier total includes the product (per-sqft x area, summed across windows, doors, sliders, and bifolds), import duty per current US HTS schedule, ocean freight to the US East Coast, and optional uplifts you select (triple glazing, nailing flange, NFRC certification, fly screens, high altitude). Installation is not included.
Which manufacturers are covered?
The estimator compares systems across European premium manufacturers: Reynaers (Belgium), Aluprof (Poland), Aliplast (Belgium), and PVC offerings from European partners. Each tier picks the best-fit system per category - aluminum tilt-and-turn windows, lift-and-slide doors, bifolds, and panoramic sliders.
Are these windows NFRC certified for US codes?
NFRC certification is available as an add-on uplift (+5%). Most jurisdictions in the US (especially CA, NY, MA, WA) require NFRC labels on residential projects. Toggle it on in the estimator to see the impact - the binding quote covers the actual per-unit certification.
How long does delivery take?
After shop drawings approval, production runs 8-12 weeks at the European factory, plus 4-5 weeks ocean transit and customs clearance. Total: roughly 14-18 weeks from drawing approval to delivery on your job site, DDP terms.
What is the difference between the three tiers?
Value (PVC, lowest absolute cost), Standard (everyday aluminum like Aluprof MB-86 or Aliplast Genesis 75), and Premium (steel-look aluminum like Reynaers SL38 Classic HI and Aliplast Maxlight Steel). All three tiers use the same calibrated $/sqft data so you see how the same project compares across price points.
