How the four lines work+
Each line is one system family that covers your windows, doors and sliders, so the totals compare like for like. PVC uses Aluplast uPVC for the lowest absolute cost. Modern aluminum uses Aliplast Maxlight Modern with matching sliders and bifolds. Steel-look aluminum uses Reynaers SL38 Classic HI with matching sliders and bifolds, for projects where sightlines matter as much as thermal performance. Timber prices aluminum-clad wood (inward opening, no bars or SDL only), shown as a wider +/-15% budget range because it rests on limited supplier data. If a line cannot supply part of your scope, its figure says what it leaves out. Send your plans for a reviewed quote.
What's included in the landed cost+
- Product - frame size, construction and selected options; quick areas use a modeled mix.
- Ocean freight - modeled shipment cost to a US East Coast port.
- Import duty - per modeled budget allowance, subject to project-specific confirmation.
- Optional uplifts - triple glazing, a provisional NFRC review allowance, US-spec nailing flange, fly screens and high-altitude glazing.
Not included: installation labor and on-site delivery beyond the port.
How accurate is the price estimate?+
The estimator uses supplier quotes and project data as a budgeting basis, with a displayed +/-10% range. This is a planning allowance, not a guaranteed error limit. Configuration, glazing, quantities and delivery can change the result. With a usable schedule, I normally prepare a reviewed budget the same or next working day. A formal quote follows technical and commercial checks.
What is included in the landed cost?+
The planning total includes products, modeled import duty, ocean freight to a US East Coast port and selected option allowances. Inland delivery, unloading and installation are not included. Duty, destination costs and the final delivery scope need confirmation for your project. A written DDP quote will state the agreed delivery destination and included costs.
Which system providers are represented?+
The aluminum and uPVC lines use selected systems from Reynaers, Aliplast and Aluplast. These are system providers; finished units are sourced through manufacturing partners. The aluminum-clad wood line prices Clad Hidden Sash for windows and entrance doors, and Timber Lift & Slide for sliders. These are Windows Guy house names. I review the actual openings and priorities before recommending a configuration.
Are these windows NFRC certified for US codes?+
The NFRC option is a budget allowance only. It does not certify a selected system or guarantee documentation for every size, glazing package or opening type. Send your required ratings and documents so I can check availability for the exact proposed configuration before quoting.
How long does delivery take?+
Production, finishes, drawing approval and shipping determine the schedule. Tell me your project location and target installation date. I confirm the current lead time and delivery scope for the selected package before you order; the estimator does not reserve production or shipping capacity.
What is the difference between the four lines?+
PVC uses Aluplast Ideal Neo and Smart Slide. Modern aluminum uses Aliplast Maxlight Modern with matching sliders and bifolds. Steel-look aluminum uses Reynaers SL38 Classic HI with matching sliders and bifolds. Aluminum-clad wood uses Windows Guy house lines with a wider budget range. If a line cannot supply part of your scope, its partial total labels the excluded categories. Compare full-scope totals together; a partial total covers fewer openings. Can I price aluminum-clad wood windows here?+
Yes, as a budget range. The Timber tier prices aluminum-clad wood with oak or meranti selectable. It is based on limited supplier data, so the range is +/-15%. Timber is priced inward opening, with no bars or SDL only. Solid-wood windows without cladding are not priced here - request a quote for those. Final species, section, finish and glazing are confirmed per order from your drawings.
